Convenient but a bit dated...
I usually stay around Hongdae, which is a popular shopping district, but this time I decided to try staying at Lotte City Hotel Mapo for the first time. One of the great things is that you can take a direct airport limousine bus from the airport to the front of the hotel. The fare is 17,000 KRW per person. The hotel lobby is located on the 2nd floor. My sister and I arrived at the hotel around 11 AM, and the staff kindly allowed us to check in early after we signed up for the Lotte membership program. The room itself has a somewhat dated design, but it's very spacious, which is great for friends or families traveling together who need extra room for luggage. The bathroom also feels a bit old-fashioned but is clean and well-maintained. Just a heads-up: the hotel does not provide toothbrushes or toothpaste, and the cups in the bathroom are paper. You can request daily housekeeping service, or ask for fresh towels if needed. As for the electrical outlets, the only usable one in the room is the one near the makeup mirror. So if you have multiple devices to charge, I highly recommend bringing a multi-plug adapter. On the 2nd floor, there's also a 7-Eleven convenience store. After 6 PM, there's a staff member available to assist you, but if you shop before that, you’ll need to use the self-checkout, which only accepts credit cards. The hotel is conveniently connected to Mapo subway station. Just take the elevator down to B1, exit the building, turn left, and you’ll see the entrance to the station right away. On B1, there are several shops including a nail salon and restaurants — I tried one of the restaurants and the food was delicious! If you want to go to Hongik University Street, it’s very easy you can either take the subway or a direct bus, both of which are super convenient.
The hotel is a bit on the older side, and you can definitely feel that in the design and furnishings. One thing to note is that the walls are quite thin, so you might occasionally hear noise from neighboring rooms during our stay. However, overall, it’s not a bad experience. The hotel is clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with convenient access to transportation, shops, and restaurants. If you're not too sensitive to sound and you're looking for a practical and centrally located place to stay, it’s still a solid choice.

A clean accommodation with a city view. Friendly service. All the convenient facilities are located in the basement, making it very convenient. The hotel is also connected to a subway station, making it the perfect location.

The price is amazing, I was surprised by it, especially when the hotel is right on top of a subway station and a shopping mini-mall, and, honestly, there is no "but". The Room doesn't look as great as in the pictures because the colors of the tappet on the wall were ugly, and the office was very old and "presidential like", with the chair creaking all the time, but the price was still great! And the view from the window was amazing.
The room and the furniture were old and not that pleasant looking. The room felt like an old presidential room. Doesn't fit amazing with young travelers, but worth it for the experience!

Good location , near to train station. Supply filter drinking water every floor.
Nothing to shop around this area. Provide paper 2 paper cups inside the room, unfriendly user. No firm- pillow options.
